Killing Holly

Today I hit up Arlington's independent video store ON VIDEO to shoot my scene as VIDEO STORE CLERK for the upcoming feature film KILLING HOLLY.

I was apprehensive at first, even though I feel confident in my funny and the directors were pretty much giving me freedom over improv, and I wasn't apprehensive until I got to the store. I started doubting myself. Seriously, who the fuck am I? Joe Actor?

No.

I'm just a schmuck who likes to write and shoot some movies, that's it.
But the bug bit me today, since I had an absolute blast on the set. It was fun and light hearted all the way through, and everyone there was up on their game and we had it done efficiently. Chris and Mason were totally open to suggestion, which was a huge plus since it's hard for me to toss out the old creativity while on someone else's boat.

Now that the bug has bit, I've got an itch. A small itch, mind you. I'm not wanting to pursue any leading roles, or even supporting. I've got a terrible memory with many things, lines included. What I'd like to find are more comedic bit parts, they just seem fun and hell, I can stand to see myself on screen for a minute rather fifty.

I also now know what some actors feel like when they want to see that footage day of. It's exciting, I suppose, I can't shake it but I don't fully understand it.
